At first I thought it was a bug, but I'm not so sure now.

When ever I get into a battle with a "noob picker" those who run around with 100's for free rep, they kill my first poke without me selecting a move.
Almost everytime.
Afterwards, they attack again, and again.
Messages say things like "'so&so' attacks Dusclops with hydro Pump"
"Dusclops has fainted!"
"'so&so' attacks Dusclops with Body slam"
"Dusclops has fainted!"
etc.

While I havn't even chosen a single move within the battle.

With a player named EXzeLTic, this went on probably 5 turns, he "killed" my Dusclops 5 times without me chosing a move.
Right afterwards, I asked about it in the public chat.
The dude DC.ed almost intantly after, what I assume was him reading the question I asked about him.

So, I'm on a quest to figure this out.
Is it a glitch, or a hack?
Devs? or someone who has real knowledge about the battle system?

If so, if it's a hack, I'll return here with some screen shots as evidence.

here's how it goes:

he attacked. killed you. and u are not making your move, so it can be 1 of 2: a) you are stalling(seeing as your opponent will kick your but in no time) the battle or B) the battle glitched
in case a) the only solution is DC, while in case B) to unglitch the battle(pvp or npc only) u press RUN and choose the attack once again.
BUT if your opponent's poke is dead and the battle DIDNT glitch, when u press RUN and ATTACK it will look like you were killing a dead poke time and time again(until your opp wont change his poke)xD

its a kinda bug, but harmless

case solved :D

lol that's not quite it.
I choose not to fight because they are noob pickers.
they always seem to be able to attack even though I don't pick a move.
This is always with a noob picker.
Depending if they are obnoxious, they may choose a move even though my pokes dead, and I'm not switching beause I'm stuborn.
Thus they kill the dead poke, over and over again.
Yes it also says "player has picked his move on turn #." So it's not an automatic glitch.
It's happening when the player choses his move.
I watch as they get frustered. Then they DC, come back on and send me hate pms. lol

lol that's what nub pickers are.
Level 100's spamming requests in a noob area.

Yes I am noob, I'm just a smart noob.
Every once in a while there will be someone who isn't a noob picker, then I battle them even if they are 20 levels higher than me.

p.s. I don't mind unfair people hating me for being unfair.
I'm not even going to be willing to befriend a noob picker anyways.
I detest them.

in pwo every place is considered a noob area is it not? people like myself go and stand infront of vermillion pc and challenge random people so we can get a battle going..

whenever i ask in all channel or battle channel im always hit with an abrupt NO

so what do you want me and the other battlers to do to get wins, make a secoend account and just farm wins? no right?? so ofcourse we have to send out random battles.

"we?" So are you one of the ones looking for easy wins? : P
I suggest, if you want to be fair, battle each other.

i don't think people are getting what he's saying, i don't agree with the whole stalling and having a go for sending random battle requests, btu the whole thign he's syaing the problem is that he doesn't pick an attack and he gets killed.

yea, that happens because when he stalls, players can press run then attack, which would then in turn force him to attack

Interesting, I also did not know that...

anyway I see what your getting at though with the people going after noobs for some easy rep (noob pickers as you call them) but that is expected in every mmorpg really. There are some people that really just pick on the noobs to be jerks or for their own benefit in game or real life. Let them have the satisfaction and find yourself some trainer more your level looking for a battle.
You're going to get battles in PWO that the person may be a jerk and kill you for whatever that person needs, natural selection if you will.

That can also be helpful in some situations.
Like when a trainer requests you to battle and your levels are way higher than theirs, some people don't attack and wait for you to disconnect. This can stop that problem ;)

An assumption would be a sentence not put before a question mark.
For you to say me asking a question is because I'm assuming something, is an assumption on your part. :)

It'd only solve the problem if he was on the last pokemon.
Because, you can't get them to switch to the next poke' for you to kill.

If this is true, then it solves my question. ;o
It's a glitch. In any case, they probably think they are doing something wrong be exploiting it, thus you can scare them by making a topic asking if it's a hack in the chat area. :P Psychology is fun.

So.. in the end.. this is a glitch- therefore the people that abuse it should be reported.

I honestly don't care if people think it's a way to get around players that stall.. because the more major issue here is that they can potentially abuse this further to get easy, quick kills against opponents even on their playing level.

If there's a way to get around stalling players they should take into consideration the battle timer for PvP battles!

I agree.
But when they add this, they also should add a way to see the challengers poke's levels before the say yes to a battle.

I have already reported this, including the glitch that forces the opponent to switch (which i discovered btw). So now its just a matter of waiting, like everything else.
