So here at school we have a freaken annoying Firewall system setup by our computer help desk.
I've been able to find ways around it but i'm not sure one this one.
How would I go about unblocking a server (PWO) so that i can use it to play Pokemon World Online?
help is much appreciated!!

Er, why are you playing at school? Since PWO isn't a browser game that's probably not the best idea, lol.
Regardless, if you really want to go around a school firewall you're going to have trouble without having the tech guy's info. To be perfectly honest most school networks are set up to detect errors etc., and some even have remote monitor systems. At least, the five high schools I've had classes in and one elementary school all did. They employed two guys to remotely pan through each computer every day, and they had control hijack powers. Sort of like RealVNC, but specifically designed for schools.
Really I wouldn't suggest it for just that reason, but there are multiple websites out there dedicated to helping people with this. Have you tried google or yahoo or etc.?

Oh I know all about the shocking school firewall system, I go to a Christian school and they've got 1 on it, you're not even allowed to run executable files off an external hard drive, or access a computer's C Drive. :/
Luckily we do find loopholes around their system so we can still play games while they're not looking... :3
But umm... For your case, probably not the best idea, but if you want, try using proxies on the Internet if they're not already blocked by your school's firewall to connect.
Other than that... I dunno. 'Persuade' a tech guy at your school to help? Seduction would help seeing as I doubt they're getting any. ;P
