So, as my previous topic stated, My comp was out of business for a bit. This in addition to some personal issues prevented me from being able to get on in the past week or so. Well, I've finally got my comp 90% settled and able to start knocking some issues out. One of which I've already done.
As many of you know, Vista Doesn't like our AU. The reason behind this is vista's security center not allowing it to update the Program Files directory, the default install location of PWO. If you installed it elsewhere, you may or may not of had this problem. This was to run as admin every time you ran it, or force it to run every time as admin. While both these methods still work, I found out of another way for this to be semi-resolved. I can never completely remove this due to the limitations of Vista. However, what I have done is told it to always request Admin access when ran. What this means is that if you run it, Vista will automatically give you a little popup asking if it's all right to run with full access. Of course you choose yes. So, from now on, we shouldn't have any trouble running it in admin mode, as it will try to do it automatically.
This doesn't mean you need to update your files or anything. Least I am mistaken, any whom have done the Properties->Compatibility mode will not get this dialog due to them telling it to run that way all the time. I am, however, not sure on this point. We'll see how things go.
Anyways, in a few hours I should be able to start getting caught up on all the membership issues, so I beg your patientce for just a bit longer.
Peace!
